I was in kind of a chaotic Kinks-style mood when I wrote this, and sent my guitar, keyboard, and bass parts with a scratch vocal to Joe for drums.
As he tends to do, he nailed it and included the chaos at the end it required for the lyrics. He reads me well. I never give "direction" to any collaboration partners on these albums. I want them to do what they do, and Joe seems to always get it.
Break ups are chaos, that's how it ends before rising up to a smooth exit. I knew it had to go to Tyra Juliette for her to do background vocals, this was a "Tyra" piece. I love her style and have done probably 15 or so songs with her.
I got it to Phil and he recorded a solo, then decided to have another go at it, and in the end, it turns out they both worked together to make the chaos fly. Good move, Keaggy. I love how it breaks down at the end and then comes together for a smooth walk away.
lyrics
You don’t care nothing for the life you are losing
And I don’t feel sorry for the things you are choosing
Up down back and forth round round again.
And it ain’t no use now it’s coming to an end
I tried, you lied, I cried, you sighed.
You laugh, and I burn, now it’s your turn
You can just walk, you can just walk away.
You can just walk, you can just walk away.
You can just walk, you can just walk away.
You can just walk, you just walk.
Some woman told you, you could get a lot of money, and the same one sold you on a land of milk and honey
What a tangle web you weave when you first deceive
Now turn around, don’t come back It’s time for you to leave
I’ll be ok, when you go your way.
Good move you've made, leave now, think I’ll stay
You can just walk, you can just walk away.
You can just walk, you can just walk away.
You can just walk, you can just walk away.
You can just walk, you just walk.
Leave it all behind… don’t look back to find…
You have changed your mind
You should have been more kind
You can just walk, you can just walk away.
You can just walk, you can just walk away.
You can just walk, you can just walk away.
You can just walk, you just walk.
Leave it all behind… don’t look back to find
You have changed your mind
You should have been more kind
You can just walk, you can just walk away.
You can just walk, you can just walk away.
You can just walk, you can just walk away.
You can just walk, you just walk.
You can just walk, you can just walk away.
You can just walk, you can just walk away.
You can just walk, you can just walk away.
You can just walk, you just walk.
